As I said before, I'll be going up to Irvine Saturday night 1/12, maybe hooking up with some s2kers that night and staying at the Candlewood Suites on Sand Canyon Rd, ready for an early departure (9 am or later, please) Sunday morning from Irvine.

I don't know what the other San Diegans

[B]cthree, this is not definitive, but I'm one of the AZ guys, and this is what I "know" so far:

1. Jan 12- We'll (as of now this is three S2000's) be leaving AZ from the In-N-Out Burger at Dysart Rd and I-10 (west side of Phoenix) around noon, may be a little earlier or later.

2. Jan 12- Team AZ will arrive in Irvine between 4 and 5 hours later to meet with any available Team Irvine drivers. We'll be staying overnight at the selected motel on Sand Canyon Ave.

3. Jan 13- Team AZ/Team Irvine/Team So Cal, et al will leave from Irvine around 10:00 AM.

4. Jan 13- Caravan will drive coast highway to Monterey with picnic stop(s)/tourist stops along the way. Goal is to be at Blue Fin Restaurant in Monterey by early evening to meet with Team No Cal and others to raise hell and otherwise prepare for LS.

I'll leave the Sunday meeting place to Team Irvine. We'll be in the follow Back-Cracker mode by then. Hopefully he'll stay in Talkabout range. I do remember that there was a Starbucks 4 or 5 miles from the motel on Sand Canyon Rd, I just have no idea how to get there from your end of the country.

[widescreen nazi] IMAX is 4x3, not widescreen (16x9 or wider).[/widescreen nazi]

7 hours from North SD may be by the most direct route, but we are planning on taking PCH from San Luis Obispo which will add some time. I estimate 5 hrs drive time from Ventura Co. So adding lunch, sight seeing and the drive from Irvine to Ventura Co 8 hours. To be able to get checked in and relaxed alittle before the Blue Fin get together, 10:00 out of Irvine should just about do it.

I will have to meet up with the caravan while they pass through Camarillo. With cell phones and FRS radios, you may not even have to stop.

It sounds like I am the only one joining after the caravan leaves Irvine. Is that correct? No West LA'ers?

You're right. Haven't watched it in a while. Because I watch it on my 60-in. screen, I was thinking it's widescreen. So I fired it up and checked the setting. 4:3 is the correct mode.
