I have heard the Pebble Beach/Monterey in Calif. Concours D' Elegance car show Aug. 15 thru Aug 17 is alot of fun. Lots of cars, both classic, new and concepts will be in the area. Maybe S2000 owners might want to meet up there and hang out for a few days. Anyone interested? If so, let me know.

That week is the best thing in the world for a car enthusiast. I've been going of years and it's something I look forward to the moment I step on the plane to come home.
I would suggest organizing a place in the corral at the Concourso Italiano which takes place on Friday before the Concours.

I have never been there and I know rooms are hard to find. I should have started this link 2 months ago. I will be making a reservation for myself at Assilomar in Pacific Grove, walking distance to Pebble Beach etc. Weather should be in the 70's - 80's perfect topless weather! I will let others know if other rooms are available within 24 hrs.

A couple of tips...
Pebble Beach rarely gets into the 80's, more likely it will be 62 degrees and foggy, especially in the Summer when the valleys heat up.
Asilomar is technically walking distance to Pebble Beach, but you will be a good 5 miles from the Concours event at the Lodge. Unless you're real trooper you won't want to walk.
Have fun, it's a great weekend.

There is limited availability of rooms in the Monterey/Pacific Grove area during Councours Week Aug15-17. Asilomar Conference Grounds, (just a 100 yards from the Pacific Ocean) has some rooms available. Prices usually double or triple or more during this time but the Conference Center has not raised their prices (about $110-221/room).
