Good to see y'all S2K crew once again

 

I had a front rolls seats on the M Roadster incident. Here are my dialog:

DaRKCrow: Wooo...Hoo.........uh.....Turn...YES!
Vivian: AyE!!! Dust.......
DaRKCrow: Damn.., I hate gettin Dust on my tires.

DaRKCrow: Wow.....Drifting...M.....ROADSTER....
Vivian: woah......Nice...

so WTF happened with the M roadster?

 

We (around 15 S2000s and 1 M Roadster) were heading to lunch. We approached a 90 degree left, almost flat turn with a wide lane. I was in front of the M and as I exited the turn, I heard screeching wheels and knew people were sliding through the turn (there was also a thin layer of dirt on the outside edge of the lane before the turn).

I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the roadster completely sideways exiting the turn. He stayed that way for 2 seconds and then his tail whipped around the other way and started to fishtail. He then straightened, but his car still had plenty of momentum and was pointed straight for the curb on the right side...his car launched off the curb, 3ft in the air, and hit the short wall on the other side of the sidewalk. He mashed the front right corner, then his rear right corner crunched against the wall and then the whole car plastered itself against the wall a final time and finally landed and rolled to a stop perpendicular to the street on the opposing lane.

His suspension was damaged so severely that we weren't able to push it at all! When he put the car in gear and accellerated, it clicked. It was the scariest moment I've ever witnessed in my rear view mirror!

 

Oh man it was such a sad sight. A hair pin turn with a lot of dust on the road caused the M roadster to lose control during drifting manuvers. He tried to correct, but just ended up fishtailing and sideswiped this wall. It was seriously damaged, but not totalled or anything.

 

Eat and then leave me with the wolves..Integras, Skylines, NSX, all wanting a piece of me, let's do it again soon!

Steve, you work fast the event was already posted on your site of the event, by the time I showered the BBQ out of me.

I really wanted to do a group run with the group again soon.
