Default 2005 S2000 E-Tuning

Hello S2KI,

I recently moved to the San Fernando Valley and and would like to have my 2005 S2K tuned to improve performance and overall feel of the car, not for racing since I use it as a daily driver. I only have a K&N cold air intake and I'm not planning to do much else in the near future. Any suggestions? I read on some of the forums and a lot of people recommend the hondata FlshPro, but this is only for models 06 and up. I found this website called evans-tuninig that also sell the hondata K-pro that should work on my car. But they are based on PA and I can't seem to find any tunners locally that may be able to do a good tune. I need some reputable tunning shop that is familiar with the S2K, last thing I need is damage the engine.

Thanks in advance for the help!

There are plenty of places that will tune your car and i recommend getting aem ems series 2 and i tuned at autowave.
Evasive also offers tuning.

Thanks dateggy90. Nothing closer to the SF valley? The problem with these two places is that they only work M-F and they are more than 1hr from where I live and work. They both look like good professional places, just a bit too far. Maybe I can take a day off and make it a day trip. Another thing I read is that these types of Mods may not be street legal in CA, if that is the case I may not be able to do it. Just read on the forums and it looks like the hondata k-pro would be the one to use to maintian emissions compliance. I also read on the hondata web page that the immobilizer is not supported. Any other options available? I really don't like eliminating the immmobilizer feature...

Enh if you only have an intake there isn't going to be much to gain. Sure you could lower vtec a little bit but not as much as you could with a test pipe and exhaust.

If you are set on doing this I suggest Greddy Emanage Ultimate. Thats what I run on my 2005 and I got a nice bump in midrange power front it but I have an intake, header and exhaust with no cat. You will need the emanage, boomslang harness for 04-05 and a wideband o2 sensor.

To be helpful here - he only needs the WB02 if he wants to tune his AFR with it. It is not completely necessary, but the tune is needed to maximize the gains.
