2JZ engine swap
Ya, I just looked up the guy that was doing all the engine swaps for 50/50 racing. He did a great job on the car but apperently he really ticked off alot of people in the process. It looks great, you can see pictures if you look up Brian Proctor's S2000.

the argument for the supra engine is obvious. very quick car sorted in only a week or two and very minimal hassle.
argument against is the s has a high revving engine and it contributes to the car's 'character'. you can also obtain a similarly powerful lump by adding the correct components onto the s2000 engine and having it tuned by an expert.
you also need to consider the ramifications on other drivetrain components. the rear diff is swapped for a non-honda based diff and i'm pretty sure other significant changes are made.
the 'best' conversions are made using improved parts from the original motor and transmission - least that's seemingly the impression of many s2kers
