Default 2JZ s2000 swap

ok im looking to do the insane 2JZ swap in my ap1 s2k and i found a 2jz for a good price with the turbos and everything included. now i know the swap is kind of difficult but it is well worth it. so i guess what im trying to ask is if there is any like mod to the frame work or firewall or is it just getting some motor mounts fabed up and relocating stuff cause kind of deal cause i really want the swap done. i just figured id ask if it can be a do it your self kind of job or is it to invloved and should just be taking to someone. the guy from 50-50 racing said like 15k on the video just for the swap and i can get a complete 2jz swap for 2k so 13k for the labor is alil steep thats why im asking.

$75 dollars/hour labor x 40 hour week = 3,000 dollars. I'd imagine some of the fab work and such runs an even higher labor rate. so yeah a professional job is gonna cost you dollars. also I'd say that if you don't have things like an engine crane, welder, etc you are gonna just wind up with a bunch of parts in your garage and a car that won't run.

I'm looking to do an engine swap myself, but I'm not even purchasing the engine until I have the entire process mapped out to a 'T' . maybe do some research, or call those guys at 50-50 with questions. It couldn't hurt. just ask how much fabbing they had to do, and ask yourself,"Is this feasible for me to try?"

last thing.. RB26DETT owns 2JZ (for the record neither engine is on my list for a s2k swap)

istdercollen....yea thats y im asking cause im not gonna make a move until i have it all set up but personally i think the RB26 and the 2JZ are pretty much a even match. they both can put out the same numbers. now a 1200hp skyline and a 1200hp supra can drag and leave at the same time and yea a skyline may beat the supra or the other way around but you must think that its not just the power that makes it go fast. its gearing, weight, aerodynamics, turbo, DRIVER i mean theres sooooo much diff things man so to say ones better than the other is purely bias. now understand i am a fan of both car and motors so im not putting either one down im just sayin that motor to motor i feel they are a pretty damn close match. and before you take this to heart remember this is my opinion so dont get all offensive. lol but thanks for the advice man i think imma try to get their # and give the a shout

I take no offense to your engine preference!. back to topic though. Keep in mind that if you actually complete this swap you will destroy S2000 differentials all day, so you might as well factor in another couple Gs for a beefed up differential....

Yes you have to remove the front frame cross brace for the motor to fit.

good luck getting in touch with 50/50 while he currently resides in jail for ripping everyone off that he ever encountered.
