Default 3-4k, that I can spend on a F20c

Hey there ladies and gents, Well I need some HELP and ADVICE!!! I have 3-4K that I can spend on my AP1, I would prefer to do (INTERNALS) rather than do (FORCED INDUCTION) But of course I would have to save up a lil more for that. Obviously I wanna make it a lil faster!!! So my question is, What do you guys recommend parts wise!!! And would $3-4 k be enough to make the car a lil faster? Or shall I wait and save up some more $$$$?

appreciate all of your guys input!

what are your goals? what are you looking for exactly, your post is to broad. narrow a little bit down for us, are you looking for strictly power? have you considered supercharging? your power goal would help us guide you in the right direction.

Well, for starters the car is a daily driver! But ultimately I want to gain more power! but at the same time it would be nice to have something that wont be to high maintenance which im sure thats some what unlikely, but anyway I have thought about supercharging and turbo and I am keeping those in mind! iv been reading up on some forums and it seams that it's a cost is a lil higher to have an (all motor car) :/. but im open to any suggestions!!!

Thanks again for your feedback!!!

You don't have to do anything to the internals, guys are pushing 500+whp all day with the stock block fine. I would either save for a supercharger, or do nitrous. The reason I went with nitrous is because you get the reliability of NA until you want the extra power, nitrous is easy to install, it's very safe if the right precautions are taken, if it ever messes up you can still drive the car (unlike a turbo or supercharged S), parts in a nitrous system are easy and cheap to replace, and you will be just as fast if not faster than a basic supercharged S and make more torque with just a 75 shot. I drive my S almost every day and only get on it maybe once a week. So i'll easily be spending less than $400 a year on refills since i'll only be using it in good weather conditions. Ohh and if you shop around you can get a full kit with everything you need (window switch, wideband, bottle warmer, purge, ect..) for less than $1500.

For more info, go to my nitrous guide: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/869...-into-nitrous/

IMHO, i'd say save the money for a turbo if you're thinking of doing so down the track. It'd be a waste of money to splurge your savings on n/a mods only to swap them over for FI. with 3-4k you'd be able to do your basic breathing mods, and tune your car. You should feel more torque down lower but don't expect your car to pull like a v8

If you are averse to forced induction I would do a basic intake/hfc/exhaust/tune. That will grant you far more returns than messing with the internals.

Supercharger, or a turbo if you get a good deal, but if you want more power in a cost-effective manner, FI is the best way to go. The biggest problem is finding capable people to do the work and tune.

One of the best bang for buck mods is increasing your final drive ratio. 4.56 or 4.57 on an AP1 tranny will completely change how your car feels and should hold you over till FI.
