To make sure its understood, Modifry didn't say don't steal my stuff. He only gave very good advice about not getting yourself in trouble with entities that have lawyers and aren't afraid of using them. It seems clear he wasn't speaking about himself.

He has contributed a ton to the community. IMO his advice in this thread was a contribution as well. There are entities out there that will make hell for you if you infringe, even innocently, even if you aren't making money. Always proceed with caution.

I know this thread is two years old now, but does anyone have the file for the center caps? I would be most appreciative, as I need a set of caps for my TE37 wheels.

This thread is hilarious.

Apparently you all have never heard of maker spaces or thingyverse.

If you can model it, you can share it. doesn't matter, it could be the same damn measurements, a clone. But whomever makes the file is the copywrite holder, and can share if they want to.

Just because you don't want to share your knowledge, ip, whatever with someone, doesn't mean someone else wont make it publicly available. Anyone can produce it as well. You can even give it away, the trouble comes when there is money involved.

I realize this post is old, but lol.

Not sure if the Accord center cap will fit.

69mm and can be easily scaled.

Nope. The Accord center cap (linked previously) will not work.

Too small a diameter to start with so I got the digital caliper out and measured the OEM cap. Printed it but will require too much trial and error to bet the diameter correct. And the interior clips didn't survive my pocket on the way down to the car to check fitment. One was broken off before I got it out of the pocket. Printed in ABS and PLA+ and neither survived the abusive pocket test. Shape is off too. Will take someone with a digital scanner or days of trial and error go make S2000 center caps -- I have neither.

I just got a 3d creator. Haven't unbowed yet.
also recently added an S2000 AP1 to AP199 Aristo and 90 Zxtt.
So a 3d printer files for each car is like on my list but the S is highest so I went through the thread.
Well most of it.
I got to thinking..if I buy a wheel with a cap that needs reading, why should I have to purchase a cap again. I already bought a cap and it did not stand up to the wheel. Of which it is a sub assembly. The lifespan of the cap and wheel should be similar. So if I make a cap to replace a cap I bought already. Then the manufacturer should hang his head in shame for putting me through that. Not sue me.
And if I have forum friends who have similar issues. Then if I share, it is my business. Of I sell to compensate me for my time material and intellectual property, that too is my business. The wheel maker should have made a better part in the first place.
Same should go dor say a Honda plastic part in the cabin or engine.

Just my thoughts.
Can't wait to make door outer handles and other stuff.
