Back OT, if you're going through the trouble of repairing the final drive I'd definitely go with lower gearing.

 

Rx8 parts will not work in our diff according to puddymod. 4.77 can be found it the late 90's - early 2000's model 4wd sportage in the front diff.

 

Huh? Lower gearing isn't "better". It's just different. There are definitely tradeoffs that need to be considered.

 

Okay Guys so i just bought another oem pumpkin from an auto dismantlers, another question since we can use the rx-7s ring and diff can we use there axles if i just change the 2 stubs since they have 4 bolts and we have 6? there stubs and the s2k's are the same, s2k axles are so weak for drag racing, my uncle has a rx-7 hitting 10.6's and never broken an axle, they both blew up on me yesterday and there so expensive and rx-7 axles you can find at a pick a part... anyone know?

can i put mazda rx-7 axles on my s2k if i just change the 2 stubs of the rx-7 pumpkin to my s2k pumpin?
