On a side note if your looking for something less aggressive you can get Mazda 4.44 gears from your local junkyard off of 1987-88 mazda truck.

Install I got quoted was $350.00 if you take the Diff out $850.00
So they charge 500 to unbolt the diff? That seems extravagant...

There are hundreds of people that run these gears, and they are just as strong as the ones in your car now

Our gears are made by Mazda, who also happens to make the 4.44 and 4.77 gear sets as well. In those cases, they are used by other manufacturers in their vehicles.

In other words, our lovely Hondas have Madza gears from the factory (4.10s).

If you need some supplementary reading material, here's a goodie...

(Just don't sit on the can while you're reading through the whole thread...I don't know if you'll be able to get up afterwards... )

Guys... here's the part number I got from another thread after I searched:

MM057-27-110

Can anyone confirm this is the right part?

Jim

*Yes...*

If you give that part # to a Kia dealer, it will show that it's been superceded to a new number...

Here's the new part #: Part number MM05727110 was superceded by part number 0K01427110
