4.77's installed on my AP1
Someone really needs to post up a detailed table of revs/speed in each gear for all the various combinations of final drive. I could probably calculate it myself, but I can't be arsed. Sorry. Any less lazy individual interested?
Thanks for all the positive replies to my post!
To answer some of the questions from above.
60mph in 6th gear is around 4200RPM. Stop and go traffic is about the same with the stock gearing so I didn't feel any drawbacks in that part.
6th gear at around 94 95ish you're at about 6000RPM
I paid $600 cash for the install. I know that is a lot but the shop that did it also installed new carrier bearings and seals and took extra care and time with the install. I am a firm believer of 'you get what you pay for'
I'll have some videos later tonight of cruising at different RPM's and speeds.

good write up, i wish someone would make one like this for the 4.56/57
AP1 I thik it's 4.77 or nothing when NA. SC I still would want 4.77. Turbo probably 4.44.
I did it. Strengthens them somewhat. I never launch my car or anything so probably not needed but just like a little more peace of mind and for only $100 why not get it for some added strength.
So what do you guys do (MPH) in gears with the 4.77s? For an example on stock ap1 1st gear is about 40MPH, 2nd 65MPH, 3rd 90MPH...?? I would still like to hit 60 in 2nd, its just one of those things for me, if your not capable of it... must be one of the reasons why i prefer an AP1 over 2.
