Default 5zigen SuperLap exhaust

Hi guys, I have been looking at the 5zigen SuperLap exhaust lately and I really like the design, price, and sound of it. I could only find one clip of this exhaust on the S though so I don't really have much to go off of. I know I like the tone, but do any of you know about how loud it is? I like loud exhausts, but if it's loud enough to where I can't even have a conversation with the top up then it's too loud. Does anyone have any experiences or know anyone with this exhaust?

I tried searching and can't really find anything. I have wondered about the zigen exhausts but 5zigen seems to have really shrank and finding their parts is a pain. Buy it and post some videos. It is going to loud though.

Do you know of any dual exhausts that are pretty much just straight piping like the superlap? I like the dual look a lot more than single and that should help quiet it down a little bit.

Hm not that I can think of. You may be better off just buying a couple mufflers and having a shop do it. Or buy an exhaust and have the take the resonator taken out.

IMO, none will be so loud the you can't hold a conversation. All aftermarket exhaust will be very loud at WOT and you probably won't be doing to much talking anyway. Cruising no problem. Variable amounts of drone with most of them at certain speeds. Construction quality among the major brands is probably about equal which may allow you to shop price without giving up anything except the amount of noise that you may or may not like. Your call.

Well I called up 5zigen and found out that it has 50mm piping.. Do you guys think that will affect performance that much? I'd be going from a 70mm Invidia Q300 Dual to a 50mm single

Are you sure that not made for some sport bike or something? Lol. I have never seen an exhaust for out cars that uses such small piping. I would think it would affect performance but I honestly don't know. Did the offer any kind of information or say they have done testing with it?

lol yep, it's a single cat-back. I just called them again and they said they don't have any other sizing options other than the 50.8mm. I tried asking what testing they had done and if it had been track testing but the guy did not know. Isn't the spoon exhaust similar in size?

^IIRC the Spoon is 60mm I.D. or 63mm O.D. and it's loud but not raspy or ricey.
