A1 Cardone axles?
Has anyone tried A1 Cardone axles?
Any reviews?
info?
I bet there is a number of people here with bad inner joints going out, this would be a nice alternative to the OEM piece.

They're in NAPA's catalog for $60 each (on an exchange basis). They're remanufactured by A1 Cardone.
There's been a ton of competition in the past few years in the cv shaft business. I remember selling them for $100 for the typical application. I've watched prices fall steadily for more than ten years. We now sell them all day long for $50 to $60. However, as prices have fallen, I've always wondered if they've been taking short-cuts in the remanufacture of them to try to save money. Our defect rate is very low for cv shafts, so maybe they really can reman them effectively for these low prices.
Seems to me that the labor involved in changing the axle versus swapping inners side to side is probably about the same. So it comes down to cost and personal preference.

I'm wondering about the material (metal) the joints are mashined out of....does it have the same properties? any additional treatment done on OEM that A1 doesn't get.....?

ive used shitty suspension parts in the past and the rubber did not stand up worth a damn. I think Honda uses the best rubber. Just look at the rubber seals on my 92 accord... the rubber is still pliable and as fresh as the day it came off the line.
