How much were the bars and are they hard to put on?

Just notch the top corners of about 2 inches and call it done. You do have to use AP2 foam or just run without the foam.

That's the price for a brand new bumper unpainted from Honda. They are not expensive at all.

I recently went through this. Just find a OEM Honda parts retailer that would allow local pickup. That would save you a lot. Most of the costs is generated by oversized shipping.

I would look into oem ap2 bumper (from local dealer so no shipping like suggested), and an aftermarket cr lip. Can be found much cheaper than oem, and although fitment won't be as good, lip fitment is not as difficult to work with as aftermarket bumper fitment.

My local dealer quoted me $420 for the bumper alone...wouldn't hurt to try but more than likely it will be the same as buying one online shipped.

As for aftermarket CR lip, the only polyurethane is Forcewerkz. I have tested it on my bumper and it fits like crap...I ended up buying an OEM one in GPW (of course lol).

Just remember, if you go cheap you might end up having to spend more. I learned my lesson. I would rather get it done right the first time, doesn't matter if it cost a little more.

Take a look at my experience. Apparently Forcewerkz has out sourced its products to Taiwan. I wouldn't be surprised if its products have degraded...

Go OEM if it is within your budget, or just don't do it at all.

Good to know. I thought the oem cr lip was like $700, which is why I suggested aftermarket. But not a bargain if it can't be economically be made to fit decent.

Nah, the CR lip is around $460-$500. But as always, shipping kills it.
