I have an ACT clutch and light weight flywheel. I love it. I am not saying competition or anything else is worse and it might even be better. But I am completely satisfied with my ACT.

ACT. I have a CC Stage 2. I hate the way it engages and it smells like shit.

Not so fast!

Any reason why the SOS sport clutch wasn't a consideration?

Maybe because its more expensive, doesnt include the release bearing (Sold separately) and SOS doesn't have as long enough history in the industry as ACT does. Looks like a very good kit tho..

The people of SOS have been around since the beginning of modifying S2000's. I've dealt with them quite a bit for SC related mods. They probably have the most experience out of any company relating to what they sell. They perform allot of testing and development, they felt they needed to do something in the clutch world after trying out everything available over the years including the clutches in debate on this thread. Knowing this and what the clutch capacity was rated for, I felt this was the best clutch on the market today. I will be installing on my car in a few weeks.

I've read too many post with guys having crank walk issues and happened to be using Act pressure plates. Whether this is the culprit or not, a overly stiff pressure plate seems like it could be an issue and so I decided to stay clear of Act since there are other options available.
