Act Street Clutch kit with Act Flywheel question
I just got the act street clutch kit with the hd pressure disc , act friction disc , and the act 8.6 lb flywheel and have put 400 mi on it so far.. i love the performance of it , but i was wondering if the chatter is there to stay when im under minimal load or decel . also is the chatter coming from my light flywheel or is it coming from my act friction disc . i have been getting different awnsers on that so i want to get it clarified

I've got about 5k on mine, same setup as you.
The noise stays but changes it's tone a little bit. I've grown to like it.
My s2k always had clutch buzz so it never bothered me. In fact, the buzz has a nicer note with the ACT setup, sounds more like it's supposed to be there rather than something is broken like with the OEM.
If you're talking about chatter on take-off...I've had some chatter (slip then grab very rapidly about 4-5 times within half a second) since day 1 and only got just a little better after about 1,000 miles, but is still there. I've gotten used to it as well.

because you changed all the parts to ones that aren't stock. Seriously. It's normal to have chatter. It won't go away unless you put the stock clutch back in. S2000 is noisy anyway. clutch chatter really doesn't elevate the noisiness any significant degree.

Ya ... this car has so many weird noises haha
When I first bought it, I always wondered if it was a lemon ... then after a while I realize that's just the beauty of it

Anyone have a video of the chatter? I'm about to go the same route
@Ks320 - I've had mine for a year - and am still wondering about some of the sounds.
