GTFO. Eveybody knows you need to run tube ducting to it so it cools while you're driving the car. Duh.

I heard people on here theorize that altering the oem air guide system reduces air flow over the coilpacks which may shorten their life. Never seen any proof that heat is an issue with the coils, but it's anyone's guess. If you think this will help you, keep it going.

I doubt the airflow will reduce heat to the coilpacks significantly which get the majority of the heat from the valve cover...

You realize that most of the air is coming from the radiator, right? Radiator temp = engine temp for the most part.

he thought of that already, i saw his filter.

to the OP, just for what its worth, my volkswagen would run horribly sometimes during the rain because water would find its way into the coilpacks and cause misfires. just a thought, but "good job for being original you're awesome"
