Default Adjusting Top?

The whole top was replaced including frame and now there is wind noise. When you pull the top down while driving the wind noise stops. Is there any adjustment that can be made to tighten the latches?

I didn't see anything in the manual.

Thanks

The EXACT same thing happened to me...
New top
wind noise
when u pull it down while driving the noise stops

I replaced the two metal pieces that the top latches onto and the noise problem was 100% resolved

Yea I was hoping there was an adjustment not new strikers but I think both of you are right. It must be the strikers.

Thanks

Did you change to a glass window top frame? Did you use the old latches or the new latches?

They replaced the top frame but let the old strikers. The top frame is from the same year but it has a new robbins top on it.

I will replace the strikers. i know there is some adjustment at the back bottom part of the frame but I don't think that will help since the windnoise is with the top latched.

I wish Honda would have made the hooks on the top latch screws so you could screw the hooks in and out.

Thanks

you can try putting a little rubber tubing around the hooks and see if it will exert a little more pressure to keep it snug... Not sure if it will work but I was contemplating doing it as well...

what i do is once the top is latched, press the top switch back for a second, so that it tries to go down. this creates a tighter seal, and reduces wind noise a great deal.

i also replaced by strikers to hardtop strikers, and it didn't help as much as the 'trick' i just mentioned.

Thanks for all the ideas. It turns out there is a tech bulletin that calls for replacement of the strikers to hardtop strikers to fix the wind noise issue. They are on order.
