Default Advice on Oil sandwich plate

Just wanted to see what brand oil sandwich plate people are running and how they like them. Need to hook up a Oil pressure gauge i have and i think this will be the easiest way to do it.

Any input would help.

I bought a used Greddy, and am lucky that I it didn't cost me a motor. There's a lot of risk with sandwich plate adapters, since they can fail in multiple ways.

Beyond a sandwich plate, is there a good port so as to avoid an inline splice to get oil pressure and temps?

How does a plate with hoes fail?

Maybe the thermostats will fail which is why I will shy away from those
As long as there are no leaks you will be good

it can come loose and then all your oil leaks out

I used to have one and I took it off because the extra stress I had to go through while doing oil changes was not worth it. You have to tighten the sandwich plate to the oil filter really tight for it not to leak and to me that is just sketchy. Also, you will get it to move loose from time to time and its good to check it. I am re-doing my oil pressure gauge and connecting it off a T-line I am purchasing at my local Lowes to be done with once and for all . I drive the car too much and too hard to have to worry about oil spewing out of the car when carving corners.

Are you talking putting tee fitting into the block where the factory oil pressure switch is? If so, I don't think you can get the correct parts at Lowes. It is 1/8" BPT. I'm pretty sure Lowes only has NPT stuff.

I didn't want to mess with sandwich plates that had the potential to leak, and I didn't want to run long braided lines all the way across the engine bay to a firewall location. I made this setup for my aem oil pressure gauge, it's all custom work but pretty easy to make. I got an 11 inch braided hose rated for oil use, one end is 1/8 BSPT male, the other end is 1/8 NPT female. The yellow part is the aem oil pressure sensor, I ran the connecting wiring to the driver side underdash location as I mounted the gauge near the driver cabin area.

Pic of my gauge install as I didn't want it in my face all of the time.
