Default advise on first mods?

Hi everybody, I've got a bone stock 2007 S2000. I'm looking to do my first mods, well performance wise. I just bought lowering springs and want to do a performance mod that some of you have done and been happy with. Not looking to do a new learning curve.

Any help you all can give me would be great. I'm not really set at a price so I'm open.

Thanks,

Herman

Exhaust + Test Pipe
New tires

A budget would be helpful, because there are plenty of turbos, etc. that are quite pricey.

Also, what are you trying to accomplish? Track car? Daily driver?

this time I'd like to keep the budget around a thousand or so. I'll be going probably Vortech here in the near future or turbo. I have been searching around but figured alot of you guys have probably tried and tested some parts and really disliked or liked the part or brand of part you used.

Just figured it could helpful to save me a bad decision.

most mods are well documented, a 30 minute search in the new and improved database will get you more than enough reading so you don't have to ask the same q's again and again.

for under a thousand, get a set of new tires and a track day, all bolts on's does little to power and you don't want to change your suspension before you learn the short coming.

a nice i/h/e set up will not teach you how to save a sliding rear end from the guard rail, trust me, there's tons of close calls and unfortunate encounter by many of the owners here.

don't be one of those tuner with more money than brain by buying stuff other people wants.

Good advice. But if you want to do something to start, a good quality exhaust system goes a long ways. Not for hp increase but you cant go wrong with n/a and since you want FI someday it will only help. GL!

Get some rims....I've done so much in the past 4 months that after spending way more then what I paid for the car I can't justify a nice set of wheels now. I wish I started off doing that....here is the order that I went:

car came with lowering springs, cleared side marks, nice head unit and speakers, red panel

I first did:
Major tune up
Stereo -amp, sub, bt, ipod, xm
Radar
Exhaust
Track event and AutoX
cell phone mount
tires
just ordered full race turbo kit with a ton of extra's
clutch
cooling
ems
injectors.....ect

not if he is seeing boost in the near future. a good 70MM exhaust, tires, or maintenance.

why not drive for the for a little bit and figure out what its weak points are (areas that you want to have upgraded) and go from there.
