It's not necessarily a bad thing,miss there to drain water out if any gets in there. But I know for sure they used to not have it because the V2 is the first intake that came with it. Because it couldn't use a air bypass valve like the v1 could.

Yea but I just don't see the point since the V1 doesn't angle up like the V2. I honestly just don't like the duck bill valve, it seems super flimsy.

Use silicone to lock it in, I've had mine for 4 years no with no issues.
