Hey guys.

Installed an AEM v2 today. I'm a little worried about fitment. It says at least 3 times in the instruction that it shouldn't be touching any A/C lines, parts of the frame, etc. I've got it all tight and bolted in and no matter what I do, the top edge of the cone filter is hitting the frame of the car. Not super hard, but still touching.

How did everyone else's fitment come out?

 

Hitting the frame? The only thing it would be touching that I can think of is the plastic splash guards that surround it.

I really can't imagine any scenario where that would be even the slightest bit of an issue.

 

Mainly just worried about it rubbing a hole in it's self.

 

i had an AEM V2 CAI and i didn't have any issue with that. The car came with it, but when i removed it there was a rubber mount that bolted to the piping that kept it from moving and absorbed vibration. I'm pretty sure that comes with the kit
