I have had both of them and I didnt really notice much of a difference power wise the only thing was the car gets heat bog a lot more in traffic with the FIPK.
i have the FIPK and i love it.
in heat yes it does bog but once u get moving and air gets ram fed everything is gravy.
and the sound....oh the sound.
not to mention you can get one of these for less than a snorkel nowadays.

I have the same dilemma, and owning a AEM CAI in the past, I'm a pretty big fan boy because of the gains and sound it made. Now, living in Southern California (to be particular the IE) where anually summer temps exceed 100 degrees, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be going with the AEM CAI again despite the install over the FIPK install. It's really not that bad especially having done it 2 times already.
I have seen multiple dyno charts showing an increase in HP and Tq with a CAI (AEM/Fujita/K&N) over oem above 3500.
There is much more benefit with an intake that has smooth bends, the least amount of bends, without restrictions.

snorkel has been known to be popular and looks great. I would have gone that route, but I got a great deal on my V2 CAI and was hard to resist. As for the V2, it sounds great and looks good for a CAI. I know a guy who had almost a 20HP gain and the V2 CAI was one of his mods
