Default An Aftermarket Seat/Rail Combo That Doesn't Lower?

Hi all,

I have used the search facility to the death as I didn't want to have to create my own thread but to no avail.

I am looking to install either Recaro or Bride aftermarket seat/s to my S. I've yet to finally decide on a model but it will definitely be one of these 2 brands.

Does anyone know of any rails I could look at that will work with these seats but also not lower the standard seat height much? A little lower would be OK, but all the rails you see advertised are always billed as "extra low", "the lowest rail available" etc.

If it helps I'm 5'7"

Cheers!
Liam

If you go with the Buddy Club "Super Low" rail, they are adjustable, you don't have to go super low although it will be lower than the stock seat. I have Recaro Pole Positions with the Buddy Club rails.

Thanks for that reply, much appreciated!

So you have the BuddyClub Super Low rail. How much lower than standard would you say that is? The Pole Position was one of the models I was looking at, gorgeous! Still have centre console access?

Thanks again.

Recaro pole position + Recaro side mounts + planted rail

That combo will be close to stock height. If not higher

I'd guess the way mine is adjusted it's close to 2 inches below stock, but you could use the other mounting holes so it isn't quite as low.

Yes, center console works as before, no issues. I love my seats, one of the best mods I've ever done.

it really depends on what seat you settle on. some seats have thicker pads than others, some are designed to sit lower, some are bottom mount which makes them sit higher than most side mounts.

When i had a Pole position on BC rails, it sit pretty much at stock height. My bride stradia w/ optional low cushion on bride rails sits lower than stock.

Just read the Pole Positions were designed with larger and taller people in mind. Not surely that really suits me at 5'7" with a 30" waist

With regards to Brides, I'm pretty nervous about splashing out and ending up with a fake.
