Default AIR INTAKE TEMP for various intakes?

Has anyone ever measured the intake temps on their aftermarket intakes? Well, my radiator had to be replaced and got a koyo but unfortunately there's no room for my cold air intake, so essentially right now i have a short ram air intake. I have an obd2 logger and was shocked at the difference between the short ram and cai (both are aluminum). Cruising at highway speeds, air temps for the cai would range around 90-110.. short intake though rangedd at about 140+, the longer the drive the higher it goes up, on a 30 minute drive the intake was about 158 n stayed there.

Was just trying to see if anyone has done this for a K&N intake or any other intake for that matter. I'm really interested in finding out what temps you get for intakes like k&n, comptech, etc.

Oh yea, i wasn't sure where to post this, pls mods move to appropriate place if i'm in the wrong spot. Thanks.

After reading this thread, I dug up the ideal gas law. Air with a temp of 158 F is 89% as dense as air at 90 F.

I have an obd logger as well and at 72F the stock lid off was over 30 deg hotter and kept climbing even at 60-74 mph.

confirmed my seat of the pants sensation, driving with lid off made the car slower, though some people seem to like the added noise/sound.

It was scary. Cool day, great sound, but the temperature difference was amazing. I could not believe that the soak did not decrease at highway speeds. Leaving the cover on was worth more than many mods.
