Airbox+header+exhaust J's Racing
Hi,
I have an AP1 F20C2 S2000 MY06.
I'm interested in J's racing airbox, header and exhaust (60RS).
Is there someone that tested this configuration?
Is there any dyno test?
Where should I gain?
Thanks

Lots of people have gotten good results from J's racing parts. Ive seen really good gains with J's header and the intake looks very well made. If I were you I would go with a bigger exhaust.
You wont see the effect of the intake on the dyno because for the intake to work you have to be driving so air can get rammed into it. The big fan wont make much of a difference. With j's header and exhaust youll probably pick up around 15whp. Its hard to get alot of power out of this car with forced induction.

But that's the important part. A lot of people say it's a worthless intake, just looks pretty, but you wont see the results on a dyno, only at speed...like 60+.And if you want to get the j's header ( best one out there imo ), I would tell you not to get the single 60rs. You want to get the single, 70mm exhaust to really get the gains out of all this. That header needs a single 70mm behind it to really shine.
Is the J's 70 a header back or a cat back exhaust? I can't remember. If it's cat back, then you'll want a test pipe or berk's high flow cat to bring everything together.
gb said around 15rwhp with the 60rs and header....i'll say over 20hp if you have the combo mentioned above.
12 from the header, 4-5 from the test pipe / high flow cat, 8-10 from the single 70.
This is mostly top end power, and the intake will help with that.
But if you do all this, you'll want to tune the car as well. Factor in around another $800 or so for a greddy emanage ultimate, harness, and tune. Less if you want the vafc, more if you want the AEM EMS stand alone.
You have to do everything right...best to do it the first time through
I don't think the J's intake is worth crap besides having your engine bay look freakin sweet. I have a AEM v2. Used it costed a 9th of the J's and probably gives the same gains. The 60rs sounds and looks great and the 70rr makes power but the 70rs is the sweet spot. No matter which J's exhuast you have you will be pleased. But your going to have to wait for it.
j's racing makes awesome stuff and you wont be let down in the slightest, but like mentioned above, you should really consider the 70mm exhaust rather than the 60mm. Good luck man, and I hope patience is something you have because you are going to need it with the j's racing stuff. Lol. Take it easy.

running J's header and J's intake, i would go with J's 70RR BUT...
ive been told many times that it wont fit, infact all the J's exhausts dont fit MY06...
ive spoke to Justin from Evasive his LBP is also MY06, hes said the same thing wont fit. otherwise id have J's exhaust as well.
oh and the J's intake, the part where the snorkel sits on top of the radiator support
dont have holes, so if u want to strap it down u have to make your own holes...
oh and you have to modify your stock hood to fit the intake snorkel, or buy a hood with a hump in the front.

About the exhaust fitting... sorry but I didn't undestood where is the problem with installation.
Thanks for your help guys.
I can't buy a 70rr, because already with 60rs could I have legal problem for sound and omologation (I use my car everyday, and when I travel I don't want to become crazy)... I think that the 70 would be too much extreme.
I remember that even if my car is a MY06 with VSA, I have an F20C2 AP1.
About greddy ecu, are you sure that it would be possible install it on MY06 model. I'm not sure.
