Alright... Just finished cleaning up after installing, and here's my notes:

1) this diffuser is awesome. Nice job, Gpfab - this was a great group buy deal (and thanks for the bonus)!

2) installation is pretty straight forward; I kept Hs2k007's install write up on the iPad next to me for reference (so thanks for that). There were no instruction included with the parts, but it's easy to figure out where everything goes... even while crawling around under the car.

3) that blue painter tape would have made things much easier; I tried to improvise/rush, and could have made things easier and faster with some masking tape. Adding that support bar on the inside of the bumper was probably the trickiest part, but having the nuts welded on made it immensely easier than it could have been. That was consistent through the whole kit; it's very user-friendly.

4) I paid for xpresspost to get it in time for a car show tomorrow, but if you're getting anxious, just hang on! You won't be disappointed.

That's it for now... Will take a photo at the show tomorrow so we can add to the pics of happy customers on here!

I just re-read Hs2k007's write up and came up with a potential solution to the tricky installation of the rear bumper support bar - Double-sided tape.

Once you've determined where the rear diffuser plate is going to sit it should be relatively easy to position the support bar. But keeping the support bar from moving is the biggest issue, right? This is how I envision my method working.
  1. Drill three holes in underside of bumper (after test fitting to your desired flushness).
  2. Affix double sided tape to the downward facing side of the support bar (do not expose second adhesive side yet).
  3. Insert mounting screws through the bumper and thread them into the support bar. Do not tighten all the way, just enough to grab a hold of the support bar.
  4. Once all three screws are attached, removed the protective layer from the second adhesive side and press down firmly on the support bar to adhere it to the bumper.
  5. Remove screws, insert rear diffuser panel, and reinstall remaining screws.

I haven't installed mine yet but I think this technique will help immensely. I also plan to use loctite on the screws as a precautionary measure against accidental slippage. The car rattles pretty good and I wouldn't want to loose any pieces.

What do you guys think?

i think the tape would help dampen the vibrations a bit, and loctite is a good idea... ive seen bolts rattle out pretty easily before

Happy customer pics from Phoenix...

Its a very subtle addition to the car, but I like it. Its a understated note of aggression which is a little hard to see, but I like the effect.
