I picked my exhaust up from a kid on HT for 350 (sounded too good to be true) and it is the T1R Sparrow Dual Catback, looked good in person so I bought it.

Came home, tore the car apart and installed it. Was happy with it and all, until I realized it was missing a piece!!

Anyone know where I can get the piece circled below, and does anyone know if there is a difference between AP1-AP2 exhaust because the mufflers on this thing look like they are a little wide I would say when they are mounted.

 

is that a test pipe in the picture?

 

I don't believe so, this piece that connects looks the length of a test pipe. It's very odd, I'm hoping it is for an s2000 as I was told.

 

Here is another picture of that piece, I talked to AJ-Racing; the exhaust is discontinued and they said I defiantly need that piece... Just trying to figure out how to go about getting one.

 

I have a T1R 70mm Sparrow from my '01 sitting in my spare room right now. There are 4 pieces. I can take pics if you need, just let me know in the next hour or so (before I leave for work).

Do you have a 12 inch hole in the middle of your exhaust system or not? i think it would be obvious if that piece is missing.

 

Yes if you can, just so I can see what I need. That would be GREAT. My T1R is the older version however that has been discontinued, I spoke to AJ Racing and the customer service is phenomenal and they are helping me source the part. If you can, please get me a few pictures; I would greatly appreciate it.

 

Yes, I realized that the AP1-AP2 exhaust is not different other than the hangers; at first I thought that was the problem but probed into it more and realized that there is defiantly something more than that. I only had the T1R mounted on the car for about 10 minutes before I put the stock back on because I had to drive the car and I never got a chance to take pictures because I was just frustrated that it wouldn't fit! I was looking forward to it!

 

The guy you bought it from doesn't have that piece?

 

Nope, the kid bought it and sold it to me.. Bought it off some redneck who I think works or owns a body shop and keeps telling me there is no other piece. The guy is pretty useless, just a bunch of yeehaws etc.. I asked if I could send him a picture of the piece and he said 'no not really' so I'm assuming he's a piece of shit.
