Another custom exhaust question
I love this exhaust https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=696961
the ASM 70mm Single Stainless Exhaust, but I'll never be able to afford it. I'm not looking for tons of power, but I love the look and sound. Is there a way I can make something like this for myself? Are these mufflers "Straight threw" designs and that resonator is the reason for the great sound? Sorry if this is a poorly worded thread but im rushing through this on my 5min break at work lol. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Show the under car pic of the ASM to a good exhaust shop (one that does mandrel bending) and they should be able to clone it. However, you don't get something for nothing, to keep the cost in check;
1. Piping will have to be mild steel. Should be OK so long the welds are solid and you spray it with ceramic heat paint like Duplicolor High Heat. I haven't had a mild steel exhaust rust out in years from the salt and humidity of Hawaii.
2. Resonator and muffler won't be JDM. A Vibrant resonator and Magnaflow muffler will come close in appearance and sound.
When you think about it, makes a Tanabe cat back seem cheap for the quality you get. My $.02.
