It's your car (whenever you get it). Do what you want. The S2000 was not designed to tow a full size car on a trailer behind it.

Best wishes!
thanxs RMurphy.
The car will be deemed tto a max total towweigh
t of around 900-1000kgs
The small twin Motorcycletrailer weihhts 150 kgs+ two race CBR 600 weighting 175 each.should not evev be niticed behind the car :-) .....
Did you really mean to say 900-1000kg? or lbs? 1000KG you'll likely break something (diff or tranny) fast. Or tear the hitch right off the car.

Here's my setup

^That's damned cool looking!!!

Yeah, keep the weight down. Just because the engine can pull it doesn't mean the rest of the drivetrain can withstand it (I'm thinking the diff would be the first to suffer).

Anyone w/links to recommended hitches? REALLY interested.

We're close to making some automotive changes that will mean for the next +/- three years the S2000 will become our tow vehicle, so I better order a hitch.

Thanks and I've bookmarked and looked at all those. I'm not as focused on stealth/hidden as perhaps some others are, but if that's one of the features... so be it.

Chase hitch.
Pull three pins and its off in less than 5 min.
Estimate over 30,00 miles on mine towing approximately 800 lbs.
Two trips from Florida to SoCal an up to Washington State.

Modified slightly to clear the Amuse.

Thanks, I just ordered one. Any helpful hints on a light wiring kit?

Get a powered one so you avoid the issue with cruise control dropping when applying the brakes
