Default AP1 and AP2 exhaust

Are these interchangeable after the cat? Ap2 exhaust in an Ap1 and vice versa?

No wonder i have a bad leak at the joint AP1 car AP2 exhaust, aside from the tip what else is different?

Yes they are, I have a ap2 exhaust on my ap1 right now. When hanging it you just need ap2 hangers or you can just use the outside holes on the ap1 hangers and it lines up perfectly. MANY ap1's have ap2 exhausts on. A quick google search gives that same exact answer.

Completely interchangeable but may need proper hangers as stated above. The Helmholtz is a different shape on both systems but will fit either car, less clearance with an AP1 exhaust on an AP2 chassis though.

Should fit but why an old OEM exhaust on a newer car?

I've been thinking about going back to stock. I no longer have my stock exhaust and always see 04-05 models for sale.

Makes sense. I'd restore mine only as a selling point to bring the car back to OEM specs. Same with my shift knob.

I think there is a slight difference in the 06+ floor but I would be shocked if the exhausts were drastically different. 00-05 fits you just need the right hangers like others said.
