Default Ap1-Ap2 reinforcement bumper

Hey guys!
I have a new ap2 bumper for my ap1, I've been thinking of buying the metal reinforcement bar or beam that goes behind the bumper to avoid having the dimples that some people say will happen and others say it won't happen. I do NOT want to hammer down the corners nor do I want to shaved them like people say to do.
Is there anyone that have done this and have pictures to compare the ap1 and ap2 metal bar to see the differences? I know there's a DIY here how to shave the corners of the bar but there's not a single person who has compare this to bar to see if there's any differences besides the corners.
As I said before 50% of people shave or hammer the ap1 bar and 50% don't experience nothing or have any problems with the ap2 bumper with the ap1 bar.

I just want to have FACTS instead of what people think. It happen to me the same way when I bought my ap2 headlights, people said if you buy the ap2 ballats it will not fit and you will need to do some wire work to make them work. I decided to buy the ap2 ballast, pig tales, igniter etc... and it was a plug and play with no mods or hassle at all, contrary on what people were telling me all the time.

By the way the part number of the ap2 bar is; 71130-s2a-010zz

So if anybody can help me with this one I will gladly appreciated. Any comments are welcome.

Thanks!!

AP2 ballast most deffinatly would fit, I think maybe they meant that ap1 ballast wont fit AP2 lights without cutting or moddification to attach them. Which is true.

I found pics on here of the ap2 bar by searching, it took a while but i found them. Dont forget to try build threads in the gallery, lots of pics of ap2s with the front bumpers off.

Having found them, cutting the bar is cheaper and quicker. You might also need a new foam support as well, i had to cut that to fit.

Orange car at the bottom.

That thread also shows how to cut the ap1 beam.

The Ap2 Front crash beam is shorter than the Ap1. So either buy the beam or cut the corners. These are actual facts!

QuagmireS2k is right, I've done it twice. If you don't want to cut your Ap1 bumper support then buy the Ap2 bumper support & foam. I've compared them before but didn't take pics. Ap2 is thinner than Ap1. But did took a pic of my Ap1 bumper support after cutted the side edges so they won't press against your Ap2 bumper. I also just cutted the foam sides off & taped to the Ap1 bumper support. Some people just leave them off

sides been touch up with paint in the pic
