Bumper conversion
Hi,
I'm doing this also.
I understand the Front Bumper is a lot easier than the rear, but both are basically bolt on.
You have to take the foam piece off for sure to do it in the front. Some people say you even have to use the AP2 bar or shave the AP1 bar down so your paint doesnt crack. Other people have had the AP1 bar on and have not had a problem.
The rear I think you just need to drill a hole into to the bumper to match the chassis or something like that.
If you haven't ordered these parts yet I'd recommend getting them from Jeff at HardtopGuy.com - I got them really quick and the packaging was great.
If you got the funds you should do the light conversion as well
After 3-4 hours working with Xistence on swapping our lights, and many stupid hours fighting with bulbs till I realized the AP2's used amber bulbs.. I finally got my AP2 headlights on

But the AP1 headlights look REAL good on AP2 bumper... ur choice..
Anyways, I guess I'm bored.. post was longer than it should have been

Got some funds from Wilma on car trying to find out how to apply.
Bumper will give you link - like $228 plus freight OEM - most OEM parts are cheap.
Headlights still looking - cheapest is about $700 that I found for JDM. Tail lights not interested - would spend cash on 4.57 gears.
Need to get part numbers to match AP1 to AP2 or a crash book for an autobody shop. If the foam piece is different than that is not a big issue and could pick one up reasonable - but then most likely the crash bar is also different and would need to know difference as it bolts on.

front bumper, i would shave the bar just in case. you can reuse the foam piece, you may have to shave that too, no big deal. oh, be sure you attach the bottom of the bumper properly as noted in the thread.
