Default ap1 bumper grill cut.......diy

ive been searching for a diy thread on how to cut and remove the front grill from an ap1 bumper, i figure i can just cut it out but dont want it to look tacky so if theres a thred out there please post it and if anybody has pics please post thanks.

My old bumper, AP1.
It looks much better flat instead of curved (below) and painted black.





Now AP2.
Its hard to see when everything is blacked out.



Do it! It looks much cleaner!

Where did you get that mesh from? I ask because i'm going to remove the that bumper grill, and cut the faux vents off; as I want more air to flow into my Injen intake.

I have the coastal metals one that just basically goes over the vents. Love it, gives the car a cleaner look. Only put me back $80 used.

damn $200 bucks for that grill, hmmm I saw some ventilation grill that looks identical to that at home depot.

Note not chicken wire lol....

any hardware store. $200 for a grill is just stupid, no offense, when you can get the same thing for $2 at lowes

I agree and they don't even look that great... but for quality grills go to www.McMaster.com . $2 grills at Lowes or HD looks like, well, a $2 grill.
