Default DIY Trunk Space Organzier

I always liked the usefulness of trunk organizers in other larger cars and I have often found that everything ends up in "the pit" anyways so I thought that I would fix that problem.

I went to walmart and got some storage totes that matched the dimensions of the indent best.

After that I cut out some cardboard to the right size, transferred it to a piece of plywood and then took some left over speaker box material and covered the top.

Here is the result:

I really like it and now I have a place to put all the small stuff that I don't want to get smashed.

They are Sterilite 12Qt. Storage totes.

They measure 16.5" x 11.5" x 6.25"

They are a bit tight due to the lip but for under $10 I can really complain.

its been a few months now since I first posted this and I am just reporting that this mod is great. Its so useful for stuff that you keep in your trunk all the time to go down there and be out if sight.
