Default AP1 rear bumper on AP2

I'm thinking of putting an AP1 rear on my car because I like the look better, but I'm not ready to go to a different exhaust yet. So I'm hoping to use my stock AP2 exhaust, but I'm wondering if:

1. I can change just the tips of the exhaust to AP1 tips

2. I can use AP1 hangers to make it look just like an AP1 exhaust

In other words, are the AP1 and AP2 exhaust identical apart from the hangers and tips? How can I make my AP2 look exactly like an AP1 exhaust so it looks normal under an AP1 rear bumper?

Thanks

hangers are the same, i think ive read that ap2 tips had to be modified to fit on ap1 mufflers so it might be the same vice versa. why not just run ap2 exhaust on ap1 rear? it might not look bad n im pretty sure it will fit.

Don't like the look of the AP2 exhaust on an AP1 rear... thanks for the info though

Not the thread jack but, does the AP1 Rear fit the AP2 Body without any modification?

There is a small metal bracket that extends down to the middle of the AP2 bumper. If you put an AP1 on, that bracket will hang down too low and be visible, but most people just bend it back out of sight since it's not necessary. Other than that there's no modification necessary.

back from the dead....but ^^ will you be able to put the ap2 bumper back on if needed after bending the bracket or would you have to re-bend the bracket?

I never actually went to the AP1 bumper but I'm pretty sure that the bracket isn't really necessary for either... could be wrong.
