AP1 seat mod on AP2 S2000
I purchased 07 s2000 NFR last month. The seats were stolen on the car and it was replaced with some cheap eBay racing seats. The AP2 seats were still holding it's value, so I went ahead and purchased AP1 seats not knowing passenger seat rail was different. After trying to fit the passenger seats not knowing is different, I went ahead and made custom bracket. I hope this helps for anyone who wants to install AP1 seats on AP2 S2000.
1. Cutting and removing factory welds and pin off the OEM Rail. Rear

2. Front brackets removed.

3. Rails removed on passenger seats. Bracket was made with .25 2" flat bar. The measurements took longer than making the brackets. At this point, I had the brackets held with some clamps.

4. Front and Rear brackets welded to the OEM rail. Tack weld first before you go welding crazy. lol. Before I installed the seats, I installed only the seat pan to the custom rail to check the height of the brackets. Is easier to carry the seats in and out with out the back rest. I have to say, it turned out pretty good. I know is not perfect but is pretty darn close. Since the passenger seat belt mounts on the seats, I made a custom bracket for that as well.

I thought 06 things changed? Anyway I put 06 seats into my previous 01 and just swapped rails it was plug and play accept when putting the 06 pass rail on the 01 pass seat I had to cut off a small.piece of metal that prevented the rail from sitting flush; I can confirm that my 01 rails fit the 06 seats and bolted up with no mods at all
