Hey guys, as I am looking to replace my engine, I was wondering whether i should go with native AP1 or with a newer AP2.

Their price looks similar, if I was to go with AP2, it would be newer and probably not faster, however, I would have to replace a few other parts to install AP2.

What do you guys think? Is it easier to later sell the car with an AP2?

The AP1 was designed for a 2 liter engine, keep it that way. You'll get the more $ for the car in stock trim.

 

Most people with 04-05 f22 swaps are happy I'm one of them. It is all plug and play minus the fuel line.

 

If you're keeping the car for yourself, build what makes you happy (I vote stroker)
If you are building to resell, then I agree with s2ka, stay original

 

Thanks guys, looks like most people like AP2 more, I never drive one, is it faster or smoother? Why do you like AP2 more?
Also why would AP1 be better for a later sale, if people seem to prefer AP2?
