I bought a used fuel rail in order to tap for a fuel pressure gauge and run an AEM FPR. I got it tapped but before we swapped it noticed that the PCV valve (I think) has screws attached but the rail I bought does not have any screw holes but does have the threaded nut. Is this difference b/c I have an AP2 car vs an AP1? Do I need to tap two new mounting holes for the PCV valve or will it be ok?
i don't recall if ap1>ap2v1 are different, but i know ap2v.1>ap2v.2 are different due to the returnless fuel system. It's possible that you got a v2 fuel rail, but i can't be sure since i don't completely understand your description.
Ok, I will take a picture this weekend. Car is at my parents with the rotors off getting turned. I will swap back this weekend and post. Here is a idea of what I am trying to describe:
Number 4 where the fuel dampener goes. My fuel rail has a small connector on the bottow with 2 screw on each end (toward the front and back). The rail I installed the pressure gauge on only has the threaded tap sticking up like in the picture. Help any???
yes that description helps. I reviewed pictures and looks like there are 3 different fuel rails. The one you are describing is an ap1 fuel rail. I'll post up pics of each in a sec.
