AP1 vs AP2 Fuel Rail

Yep, the MY04 is like mine with the extra attachment. Guess I didn't know that there would be a difference in AP1 vs AP2 non-dbw. So my next question is do I need to drill and tap the two holes on the extra connection or will it be fine without the extra connection?
