Default AP2 Bayson R Lip Drooping

I have a Bayson R AP2 APR-style lip that is drooping below the bumper across the front and getting caught under the bumper. I was planning on having it painted, so I didn't use double sided tape on it yet and just used the hardware that came with the lip. I won't be having it painted for awhile and may not paint it at all considering the road quality where I live. For those of you with this lip, how did you install it to keep it up and in place? It doesn't seem like there is enough surface across the front to use tape, only the sides that contour with the grooves on the sides of the AP2 bumper. Thanks!

And for anyone who comes across this thread using the search function to find out more about the Bayson R lip, I am very impressed with the fitment!

Here is the underside:

Is there room to put double sided tape on the underside of the bumper?

If the lip looks like this, maybe you can put tape close to where the screws go. It should help with the sagging issue.

The bottom isn't firm enough to support the lip. It's wavy and pliable. It has been since I fist installed the lip.

Your best bet is to drill some holes on the bottom of the lip into your bumper, and getting some screw clips, like the ones ill post on the bumper and installing screws from the bottom of the lip through the bumper. Go to home depot and ask for something that looks like that but is made to hold screws.

Drill the wholes slightly smaller than the actuall screw so its not just the clamp thats holding it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the clips won't work. The lip doesn't reach the underside of the bumper. This is what I'm working with:

Hmm that's what my ap1 lip looked like on the bottom.
Those brackets should hold the bottom in place and the side screws should do the rest.
That's odd.

I'd say get some 3m tape and line the lip with it.

hmm... i know it might suck but get some big screws?? Or just use some zip ties and tighten them really well. Theres a tool u can buy that pulls them tight and than will cut it out.

black zip ties prblem solved! my ap2 bumper on my ap1 is held on the bottom with zip ties because the plastic shield doesnt line up on ap1's to the ap2 bumper.
