Default AP2 Custom Exhaust

i'm planning to create a custom single "short" exhaust so i can mount the stock tips.

what's the best 3" straight through resinator and muffler?

i plan to mount the resinator in the cat/test pipe location and the muffler in the resinator location with a turn down tip under the car. i removed the muffler section of my 70mm invidia N1 single and mounted the stock tips using black pvc pipe and treaded rod. looks stock and i love it. just need to put in a custom exhaust that will locate behind the rear axle or side winder mount.

If you want to keep a lowered VTEC engagement, you cannot put a resonator that close to the header. A big resonator where the stock cat goes will create a huge dip in torque at about 5K that is just about as bad as the stock cat.

... that's why no reputable company should be producing resonated test pipes.

thanks for the tip. so now i'm planning to just put in a muffler in the area of behind the axle with a downward tip. unless i can find room for both down stream from the tp.

If put a big muffler where the stock resonator goes, with a turndown tip right by the axle, your drone RPM will probably be at a higher RPM than it is for typical S2000 exhausts.

maybe -

looks wise - it will look stock

sound wise - i think i'm alread y there (look and sound wise). running a invidia 70mm single - lol

i dropped off the muffler section of the invidia single and the resinator is not bearable (like the N1 single is - lol). So i have determined i need a decent muffler. i'm basically will be running a short verison of the berk 3" headerback exhaust system with stock tips... so i will only sound ghetto instead of look and sound like ghetto with the single...
