Question for those who have done resonator off exhuast?

ok so im getting a dual aftermarket exhaust installed this weekend. Today i looked under my car and where I had the resonator on my stock exhaust replaced with a straight pipe, I saw a thin stick like hangar attached to it. Now i know he welded it to the straight pipe but did he weld the other end to the car? I think the stock resonator had a hanagr to. For those of you who did the stock exhaust resonatoectomy, did they weld it on both ends or did they just reuse one end? and how do you get it of if they welded both ends?

Basically im worried that the exhaust wont come off or something. I do have a small electric saw? lol........or i guess i could rip it off since its thin I dunno any input?

The stock exhaust resonator (the first single one in the system just behind the cat), hangs from ONE hanger via a rubber thing. Any replacement part (like a straight pipe) will most likely hang from the same hanger.
To find out if it's welded to the car, grab it and shake it. You'll know quick enough.

Assuming you get a catback, just unbolt everything, from the cat.....back;everything,downstream of the cat has to go,and bolt your new system to the cat.
