Default AP2 Door panels in AP1 - worth it?

Has anyone changed their AP1 panels to AP2 to get the extra 1/2"? It doesn't sound like a lot. Is the difference noticeable? Worth $200?

so let me get this straight the door panels are smaller by 1/2" which would mean more leg room?

i believe they are talking about the pocket on the lower panel.

No, although that would be a bonus I guess. The 1/2" is supposed to be in the form of elbow room.

I swapped to AP2 door panels in my '01. I do like them better but IMO, the storage is minimal just like the rest of the car. My arms are pretty big so even the extra 1/2" of arm rest was a marginal improvement at best. The big reason I went with the AP2 panels was for the tweeter placement.

I can't tell you from experience from actually swapping it out, but when i bought my car i test drove an AP1 and AP2 and i gotta say it did seem a bit "roomier" (lol the irony of calling an s2000 roomy is overwhelming) than the AP1 and was one of the many reason's why i bailed out the extra money 2 get an AP2...
Ima big guy (6'1" 215 lbs) so it was noticeable to me but if your smaller you might not notice.

I'm putting an AP2 driver's side panel in an AP1 specifically for this purpose (don't care about the passenger). After driving an AP2 for 3 years you notice the difference in room vs the AP1.
