Default Ap2 Front Bumper on Ap1

Hi:

I was trying to search s2ki to see if anyone has fitted a AP2 front bumper to an AP1, but couldn't find the thread. I'm curious what mods need to be made.

If anyone has the link or some input, I'd appreciate.

Thanks!!

Definitely have to cut the bumper support. After time you will get spider cracks in the paint in the corners if you don't. Happened to me twice. Definitely cutting it after my next bumper paint job.

I read some where that you can just hammer it? Any pics of how much needs to be modified?

Hammering sounds like it'll take a while, I used a grind for mine took about 10 mins per side

I have always wanted to do this as well. What about if I can buy the ap2 bumper reinforcement for my ap1, it will work properly? I just don't like to cut and do all that mess.

Yes. If you switch the the actual bumper reinforcement bar then you can just bolt up he ap2 bumper without cutting or grinding anything.
