Default AP2 headlight converstion

I have read the DIY and the FAQ on this and my only question here is that it looks like I have to buy EVERYTHING if I am not going to reuse the AP1 ballasts.

Looking on Majestic Hondas website, it looks like I can not just get the AP2 ballasts and reuse the AP1 igniters/wires... Is this the case? If so looks like im gonna have to shell out another 500 for parts lol

Its all good though, I got a screaming on NIB AP2 headlights (Thanks Ben!) and have already got new bulbs sooo its install time soon after I figure out the wiring situation here. I am going to but the ballasts NIB and thats gonna run me 300.

As for install, I know how to retrofit but just prefer new stuff and damn cant wait!! Im sooo tempted to smoke the lenses before install but im too paranoid something would go wrong and warp the housings.

Nah was wondering if the ap1 wires could be used or not, the diagram on majestic shows the ap1 ballasts and igniters as all one unit and i havnt torn into it to check yet

you'll have have to get all 3 parts: ballast, igniters, and wires.

Yes sir you will need both the ballast and ignitors to finish the conversion. IIRC, you will also need the number 14 wire in the diagram.

With the ballast, ignitors, and that wire everything will just be plug and play. When I got my ap2 headlights they came complete with everything including that wire, and they plugged in perfectly.
