The ap1 swap is just like doing an ap2 swap, you will need the ap1 ballast and ignitors, and also the wire coming off of the ignitor. If you have all this everything will be plug and play.

Does the ignitor come on the headlight housing? i will do a swap with a member so i am trying to figure what i need from him and what i need to give him as well to make it work. so when i am posting "for trade" thread i ll put it down as housing+ballast+ignitor...

Yes it is screwed onto the headlight housing. I actually traded a guy my ap1's for some ap2 lights and we both took the headlights out, and just unplugged everything and took the bulbs out (you will leave your bulbs on your wires, these will go right into your new ap1 lights). The wire i'm talking about it plugged into the ignitor, and is maybe 6" long then has a connector. Just unclip it right there so you have the wire hanging off the headlight, and that is all you need. You should receive the other headlights exactly the same way and it will all plug in.

So yes you need the housing, ballast, ignitor, and the wire coming off of the ignitor.
