Hey guys, i bought a used ap2 lip and it did not have the brackets that were supposed to be included. is there a part number for these and if so, what is it? i understand i can mount the lip with out the brackets but i want to use all the mouting points. makes me sleep better at night

can't see the pic. You can buy a hardware kit from Hardtop guy that gives you certain parts, but it doesn't have the metal attachment bracket, only the speed nuts, bolts, and screws. Other parts don't appear to be sold seperately. On my ap1 lip I've resorted to making some of my own brackets, made of bendable metal and bent to shape.

 

I belive this is all of them, I had to wait to order them cause they were special order cause mines was missing hardware too, but I just made something out of home depot stuff, works great. And only cost 5-6 bucks. But I believe this is ALL the hardware you need of the lip, please someone if they can double check to make sure.

Are you talking about the OEM lip or some aftermarket lip? There's way too much hardware in the pic for the OEM lip.

The OEM lip comes with:

4 fender bolts
3 stepped bolts
4 self tapping screws
5 flange nuts
2 clip nuts
4 spring nuts.

On the OEM lip those brackets should already be attached to the lip.

 

yes the oem lip. those are all the parts. i understand the brackets come with the lip but mine were missing. i just need the part# for the brackets if they exist. lol

 

Are you able to purchase this hardware from home depot? $50 seems way too much for some screws, bolts, and nuts.

 

I don't believe you can buy them

BUT

Go to HondaAutomotiveParts.com enter in an 08 S2000 (non-CR) go to Accessories-Exterior for the part in the list and see if those bits are listed.

 

I don't think you CAN buy them, they come attached to the lip already.

 

I made a kit out of home depot stuff, since they had to special order the parts and it as gonna take to long.

Works very well, took me about 20 minutes to figure out what I was gonna use and what fit and which washers and bolts and nuts to use. After that I bought what i need and came out great.
