Apexi AFC NEO HELP
Hi everyone,
I tried to install the Apexi NEO w/ pnp harness today. I made sure the air map was set to all 0%, and I set the VTEC control OFF because I didn't want to mess with the VTEC changeover yet.
Once I turned on the car to drive around for a bit, I noticed the CEL come on. I have a wideband, and didn't notice anything too abnormal, but I quickly turned around back to my apartment and pulled the code. I got a P2647 fault, which is supposedly associated with the VTEC solenoid.
I did some research and found that some people have gotten this code from installing the NEO; however, most get it when VTEC control is ON. Also, after resetting the CEL, it usually stays off.
I tried to reset it with the OBD-II tool that I have, but it came back within seconds. Then, I took unwired the NEO, and reconnected the OEM wiring. The CEL went away without reset. Next, I tried to install the pnp harness without wiring it to the NEO. The same CEL code came in.
I'm a bit confused now...I'm not sure if it's some setting in NEO that's wrong, or if the harness is bad. I guess my next step is to check the harness and all the wire splices against the schematics, but in the mean time, has anyone else experienced what I've described? Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
