until you trash talk about how fast your car is and get smoked by a civic cuz of all that heat come to think about it its kinda like running a turbo after a while you got to let it cool down after some runs or your gonna get hella heat built up in there so the arc would be the same that thing would need some cooling after a while......dont quote me on that i dont a turbo but im sure its about right

I think alot of people on this thread are saying what they have heard and have never had a ARC on their car. The intake may lose power, But no one has ever been able to show me a dyno to prove it does. To be honest with you my arc intake has never burned me, Because it does not get that hot. I raised my hood after I went on a fun run for 20min (A road near my house has some 10mph-35mph turns and a long straight where you can get to 100) and a quick ride through town at 20mph in traffic to get back to my house. My ARC was not even hot to the touch, it was warm in spots. I was shocked I did not burn me with the way everyone talks wbout them on this site. I do have the back of my box covered in heat reflective tape. I am going to do my best to get to the dyno before I get my J's intake (carbon>metal) so we can have some solid proof one way or the other.

i beleive there was a video on youtube of it showing 0 gains on a dyno.....not a loss in power but just no gain....so i guess it isnt that bad

that big gigantic heatbox...regardless it loses power or doesn't lose power, for that price this piece is ridiculous.

yea it looks nice and all and if you got money to wipe your ass with and swap out parts like changing socks by all means must be nice, for us poor people that takes like 3 months to get something simple like some rims or something it kinda hurts the wallet, especially if no one wants to buy it from you i wish i can find some random rich person to just pay my debts like my car loan and credit card bills and ill be happy with that i mean if there loaded with cash it wouldn't matter cuz they will get it back quickly???

^ this dude seems angry. Without paper proof, dont buy the talk. Me personally, i just bought the ARC intake. And not for power gains. I want the look. Sorry guys, but if i wanted power gains then i would go FI. A CAI isnt going to cut it on the track. And sotp hating. You are all being d*cks to one another over a CAI. Just chill and go for a drive. Peace.
